My Top 5 Restaurants in TMR
TMR advocates (Full disclosure: 99.99% of them are living in TMR) will tell you that if there is one great thing about this neighbourhood, is that it feels like you are in the middle of nowhere while being 5-10 minutes away from everything.
I totally agree and appreciate living in such a quiet and beautiful area. It is also true that you are not really walking distance to many restaurants and coffee shops. That being said, TMR offers some solid dining options, that will accommodate any family night-out or date nights.

Galo Grill | 1970 Graham, Town of Mount-Royal
An intimate and trendy atmosphere to share a heartening meal. Galo serves GOOD portuguese classics, think seafood, oven chicken, natas and pretty good french fries too :-).
Pizzaoille | 1275 Chemin de Dunkirk, Town of Mount-Royal
I know this is not the typical neighbourhood restaurant, since there are 3 Pizzaiolle locations now in Montreal. However, I think that the Town of Mount-Royal restaurant is special. Nestled in the historical Gare of TMR, the decor is pretty unique and the pizza is fantastic. I would recommend this place for family dinners, especially in the summer when you can sit outside.
Sirene De La Mer | 114 Dresden Avenue, Town of Mount-Royal
Another mediterranean dining option, Sirène De La Mer is an upscale Montreal institution. I mean if ever you are craving fish or seafood, this is the place to go. Also, if you are not so into seafood – don’t worry there are plenty of delicious Lebanese specialities, with meat and vegan options that are really good.
Tiffany’s | 7977 boulevard Décarie, Montreal
All right, it is not technically in Town of Mount-Royal but it’s still a very good restaurant option, 2 minutes away. Tiffany’s is like a typical New-York diner, but even better since we are in Montreal I would suggest to go there for brunch, their menu is just incredible and the dishes are really tasty. The set-up is also perfect for big parties, just don’t forget to book a reservation!
Villa Armando | 1970 Graham, Town of Mount-Royal
An other italian option besides Pizzaoille, Villa Armando serves a traditional roman cuisine in a very warm atmosphere. There is no pizza on the menu, but pastas, meats, fishes and antipastis… To me, the place is really charming, nestled in an old building and their gelato is just amazing.
